I had a fantastic stay at this hotel in a lovely area with great views. The hotel facilities were excellent, especially the conservatory where I enjoyed dinner on both evenings. The location was perfect, as it was just a short walk out to the local pub. The staff were friendly and helpful, ensuring that my stay was enjoyable.
Was all great.
We absolutely loved our stay at this hotel. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful throughout our visit. The bedrooms were spacious, warm, and incredibly comfortable. The hotel's public areas were also impressive, with ample space and lovely views of the garden. We particularly enjoyed the convenience of the bar area, especially on a rainy night. The dinner and breakfast options were delicious and reasonably priced. Additionally, the private car park was a welcome amenity, and the beautiful gardens provided direct access to the nearby lake. The location of the hotel was perfect, just a short walk from the bustling city center of this charming Cumbrian town. The hotel's parking facilities were also well-organized and greatly appreciated. The view from our superior room was stunning, despite not specifically requesting a lake view. The room was clean, spacious, and boasted large windows that could be opened for fresh air. We were grateful for the desk fan provided, especially during the hot weather. The room featured a comfortable double bed, ensuring a restful night's sleep. Moreover, we adored the hotel's gorgeous gardens, which led to a picturesque lakeside area. The availability of free putting lawns and outdoor seating added to our overall enjoyment. The hotel staff were always polite and affable, making our stay even more pleasant.
Nothing, no complaints at all.
The level of cleanliness in the self catering apartment was better than expected, especially for a dog friendly hotel. The parking was conveniently located just outside the front door. The heating in the apartment was perfect and adjustable. The staff were super friendly and nice. The prices at the bar were reasonable and overall great value for the stay. The hotel had a great location with amazing places and walks within a short 10-15 minute drive.
Everything was great. No negatives to mention.
I had a fantastic stay at this hotel. The location right on the edge of Derwentwater was amazing. I loved sitting on the hotel's bench right on the water's edge, enjoying the beautiful view. The hotel is also really close to Derwentwater Marina, making it convenient for boat trips and there's a nice little pub nearby. The breakfast was delicious, and I enjoyed eating in the comfort of the conservatory with my dog. The staff, especially Bev, Pamela, and the girls in the restaurant, were incredibly welcoming and friendly. I felt at home here and appreciated how they went above and beyond to make sure my dog was comfortable. The rooms were super clean, the beds were comfortable, and the towels were fluffy. this was a comfortable and non-pretentious hotel in one of the prettiest parts of the lake.
Couldn't fault.
